Brad Johnson is the latest member to join the Compass Light team and one of the few who hails from the South. Born in Chattanooga, TN and raised in Kansas, Brad is a die-hard Jayhawks fan and has a fierce love for his hometown of Lawrence. Brad started his freelance work before attending University of Kansas, and carried on with it throughout school, where he majored in Film Productions and Economics. Since then he has worked for the better part of a decade as a professional freelance cinematographer for ESPN, AMC, Showtime, Fox, WGN, and other networks. He has traveled far and wide for his work but his favorite shoots involved bungee jumping with a camera into the Grand Canyon, filming in the mountain town of Banff in Canada, and shooting on the sacred grounds of Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence. When not filming or cheering for the University of Kansas basketball team (whose games he never misses), Brad brews beer in his basement.
